The company that would become Starline Tours was originally founded in 1935 when a limousine driver decided to give visitors to Los Angeles tours of the homes where movie stars lived during his down time. He found such a demand for these tours that he elected to start his own company dedicated to providing them, and the Starline Tours story began.
There are a lot of tour companies in Los Angeles that offer celebrity home tours, but none of them are permitted to operate in as extensive and exclusive an area as Starline Tours. Thanks to unique arrangements with city officials, Starline Tours is allowed to lead guests into glamorous neighborhoods where other tour companies are forbidden to go. That’s a big part of the reason Starline’s tours remain so popular — they take our customers places they would otherwise not be able to visit as part of an organized tour.
